I look forward to meeting.

As someone who believes that our sense of self, our sense of connection and our sense of capacity are powerfully influenced by both internal and external aspects of our lives, I draw on my clinical, activist and legal backgrounds to create a shared space in which clients can find self-understanding, self-compassion and self-confidence to address issues and concerns they experience in their daily lives.

I work with:

Individuals

Adolescents

Older Adults

Couples

Clinically, I work with individuals (adolescents, younger and older adults) from an attachment and relational perspective.  In my couples work, I draw on my knowledge of attachment and trauma, utilizing Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), for which I have been trained. Drawing on my legal experience, I consult with and provide research for attorneys and advocates regarding sexual trauma and restorative justice; I also provide expert testimony regarding trauma and memory.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Feeling Understood

In working with me, you will experience the relief of being understood. The feeling that “it makes sense,” that “you aren’t crazy”.

Seeing your Strengths

In working with me, you will see that the ways you've adapted through life aren't "what's wrong with you," but creative solutions to complex dilemmas of growing up.

Finding Compassion

In working with me, you will learn to soften that critical internal judge and find ways to be curious and honor your own signals.

Grasping Connection

In working with me, you will find ways to negotiate safety and connection, alone-ness with togetherness, trust with boundary.

Accessing Calm

In working with me, you will find ways to respect not-knowing, to slow down reactions, to take stock of a moment.

Making Room for Action

And in working with me, you will find stable ground upon which to act, when action is necessary.

Let’s Talk!

I offer an initial 10 minute consultation free, to see if we will be a good fit.
